When my tooth started hurting a few weeks ago, I didn’t think too much about it. I figured that I was just grinding my teeth in my sleep, and the pain was a residual of that. It didn’t go away throughout the day though, and the next day it was a bit worse. I knew that there was a problem there, but I didn’t have a regular dentist that I went to because I had just moved to my condo a few months prior to this. I looked at the site mainly to get the contact information to set up an appointment, but I ended up looking at the different things they do there. Their website is laid out in a really nice way for a dental practice. I was expecting to find just a phone number and address plus a bit of information about the practice, but there were detailed explanations of the more common dental procedures that they perform there.

That actually made me feel really good, because it was obvious just from their website that they take their work very seriously. When I went there a few days after the pain started. the dentist was able to diagnose the problem immediately. I needed to have a filling because the one I had there had not stopped some decay from happening. The old filling was removed, and then my tooth was cleaned on the inside. A new filling was put over my tooth, and the pain never came back. It was quick and simple, and I am really grateful that they were able to help me that fast. There is just nothing worse than tooth pain, and they took mine away fast.

I got an upgrade on my Centurylink DSL connection so that I could stream shows and movies from my computer. Before the upgrade, I was watching everything in standard definition, but now since my speed is faster, I watch everything in high definition. Sometimes it works out for the best, because I can see very detail and the lighting is better. Sometimes I wish things were in standard definition, because I can see every detail on the actors skin, such as lots of pores, especially in up close scenes. I never really realized how many actors and actresses had such bad skin.

Since I watch most of my shows on the Internet now, I haven’t had much of a reason to watch them o cable. I’ve cut back on my channels to just the basic service, and I’m even thinking of getting rid of that. I can get everything I need on the local channels. The only thing I would be missing by not having cable is the cable specific news channels, but I can probably find most of their footage online too. If I really need to see the news, I can just read about it from various websites anyway.

The increase in my Internet speed also comes with another added bonus. I also upload and download files faster. I usually backup my files online at the end of the week, and it can take a while depending on the number of files and how big the files are. Now it only takes half as long to do so. I also download games and play them in my spare time. The games can be pretty big when it comes to file size, so the faster I can download them, the quicker I can start playing them and move on to the next one.

My brother finally called for heating repair in Morris County NJ and now our heater is fixed after one year. The heater stopped working in the middle of last year, but we didn’t have the money to get it fixed, especially with all the money that was used on Christmas gifts. We had to brave out the cold weather with our thickest blankets and sweaters. I had never worn a scarf and earmuffs indoors until the heater broke. The worst part about the whole thing was stepping out of the shower into the cold air. Even when you dry all of the water from your body, you still feel pretty cold in the air.

A repair man came and gave the heater a diagnostic and determined that a motor had worn out and needed to be replaced. He pulled out a motor from his truck and immediately got to work. The repair man got a lot of dust on his face and clothes working around in that old garage to fix the heater. He looked like he had come out of a dust storm when he was done making the repairs. My brother turned on the thermostat, and the heater was as good as new.

While the repair man was still there, my brother asked him if he could install a new thermostat into his home. He wanted something a little more up to date than the old dial he had been using for so many years. He bought a thermostat that can be controlled by a smart phone and even through the Internet. The repair man installed the thermostat and then went on his way. My brother loved the new thermostat, because he no longer had to get out of bed to control it. He could just pick up his phone and start the app.
